- Although Hydei fruit flies have wings they are unable to fly or flutter
- Cultures should be kept between 70°F - 80°F. Under 70° cultures will start to slow down and not reproduce. Above 80° cultures could develop the ability to fly
- Cultures will begin producing in about 3 weeks

I’ve never ordered live insects before but decided to give it a try to give my spiders some diversity to their diet. My post office didn’t deliver on the Saturday that was scheduled and since they don’t run on Sunday’s my delivery didn’t come until a Monday! No fault of Spood Food, just bad post office delivery timing, as they mailed my package the same day I ordered. Anyways, my insects were still in perfect condition and exactly what I wanted! Will DEFINITELY order again! Thanks!

I've been a Spider Keep for a long time, and I've had my fair share of ordering food for them through the mail. Some businesses were okay and a couple were pretty good. Then I came across Spood Food and they are PHENOMENAL! Not only are the prices great, but the communication was fantastic! I was even given suggestions for the health of my smaller slings...the ones who aren't big enough to eat anything except fruit flies. I was told about bean beetles...BEAN BEETLES! I'd never heard of them before and the info I was given was very good! They are very beneficial for my spiders and are easy to care for so that they flourish and reproduce. I ordered several types of food, due to the varying critters that I keep, and the quality of all of it was fantastic! I'm sold on Spood Food.
